Holiday Weightlifting Camp Week 2
This is the last High School Holiday Weightlifting Camp we are offering until the new year!
Week 1 will run Monday Dec 19th through Wednesday 21st from 10am-Noon. Week 2 will run Wednesday, Dec 28th through Friday 30th from 10am-Noon. Each camp is three days. Spots are limited to 12 people.
During this camp we will be going more in depth with the Olympic Movements, Snatch and Clean & Jerk as well as teaching how to properly perform the most common secondary and accessory exercises for Weightlifting. Squats, Pulls, Deadlifts, Presses etc.
We will spend roughly 1 hour going over the Snatch, the Clean, and the Jerk each day followed by 1 hour of specific strength training for Weightlifting.
Weightlifting is a skill based strength sport, and learning how to perform the strength lifts is just as important as learning the competition lifts for long term progress. Staying healthy and being able to gain strength is most often the difference between those who make it to the top level. In this camp we want to set you up for success, and give you the confidence that you are going to get stronger!

These camps are open to boys and girls that are High School age. All ability levels are welcome. The only thing needed is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
Weightlifting is one of the fastest growing varsity sports in Florida and this year the FHSAA is including the Snatch lift again in competition. This Olympic Style Weightlifting exercise is often a concern for parents watching due to safety. We want to help teach this movement properly so that High School Athletes can have fun training and developing their Weightlifting ability without worrying.
Rise Weightlifting Club is a USA Weightlifting Sanctioned Club which has been in the Winter Garden area for over 5 years. They have developed multiple State and National Champions, State Record holders and High School State Champions. We are the largest club in West Orlando and have multiple National level and Advanced level coaches.
We focus on the long term development of Weightlifters. Teaching proper form and movement before adding weight and speed to the lifts. We pride ourselves in producing Weightlifters who are strong, safe and can move the bar with control and beautiful technique. We educate our athletes on nutrition, recovery and mindset to allow them to focus on training properly.
